One of the three tiers of Delta Sigma Pi is community service.
As young professionals, we feel that it is immensely important to be active in our community and to give back in a variety of ways.
One way that we serve our community is through direct connection to local charities and non-profit organizations. Through our service we have seen how important it is to be a hands on member in your community. Some of the organizations that we serve include:
- Clothes that Work (LinkedIn workshop)
- St. Vincent DePaul (can food drive)
- Humane Society of Dayton (dog toy donation)
- Community Blood Center (blood drive)
Each semester the Epsilon Tau chapter plans, organizes and executes one major fundraising event. Past events include Spike for Charity and Kick it for Cancer (pictured above). Fundraisers like these allow us to, of course, raise money for charitable organizations, but also to engage with other students, faculty and local businesses who participate in our events, working together to serve the common good.
